With a digestion rate of "98.2%," Manda Fu is the most suitable Koi food for the cooler water temperatures of spring as well as autumn and winter! Manda Nishiki, popular Japanese Koi health food, added to Manda Fu promotes sound Koi health and lustrous color.

The size of the pellet is about the same size as a packing peanut. It softens as it touches the water and even small koi can easily eat it. Or, you can simply crush it into small pieces. Manda Fu can be fed in water temperatures as low as 45 degrees Fahrenheit
(once every 1 - 3 days).

In the cold weather during Spring and Fall when the night-time temperature goes below 55 F (13 C) feed the Cold Weather formula. When the pond water's temperature drops, the fish require a highly digestable cool-water diet. The cold water diet is made with lesser amounts of protein but contains wheat germ which is easily digested and also contains a higher level of fats.

Immuno-Stimulant Food™
with Montmorillonite Clay

Feed above 68 F (20 C). Alternate feeding the two supplemental foods every other day (four days per week). Due to their lower protein content they can be alternated with the Cold Weather formula during colder weather as well. The Montmorillonite Clay provides additional minerals which help provide more immunity against viruses commonly found in pond environments. Additional quantities of vitamins are also blended into this food. Montmorillonite Clay also acts as a toxin binder by neutralizing the metabolic toxins.

In the late spring when the warmer temperatures arrive, koi and goldfish need a boost of protein for growth since they have depleted their fat reserves over the winter. In the fall a higher protein diet is also required since pond fish need to build up in preparation for their winter fast. Use this feed at a minimum temperature of 68 degrees F (20 degrees C). Pond fish really start to grow at this temperature. You can use this feed up to four times per day. Feed between 2% - 3% of the fishes' body weight per day.
